Mass of Anointing of the Sick 5.00pm 12th February (Celebrated in Word and Sign).

Welcome to the Website of
Our Lady of Fatima Parish, White City.

"Come to me all you who are burdened
and I will give you rest."

Our parish is part of the Archdiocese of Westminster and is situated in the heart of London. It is home to a vibrant, exciting and culturally diverse community, sharing our lives and growing in faith together. Our website aims to provide a taste of all the many different groups in our parish, all of which are centred firmly in The Good News of Christ. We strive to provide a loving welcome to all who pass through our parish, but nothing can substitute for coming and sharing in our worship with us.

FIFTH SUNDAY OF THE YEAR

Jesus’ ministry continues with the healing of Simon’s mother in law and numerous others and the casting out of devils. After time in quiet prayer he is determined to go elsewhere and proclaim the good news. We too must look to proclaim the love of Christ both near and far and on this Education Sunday pray for a deeper knowledge and acceptance of Christ’s message especially amongst our young people.

Our Gospel today of healing leads us appropriately into a week leading up to the World Day of Prayer for the Sick on February 11th Archbishop Vincent will celebrate a Mass of Anointing at 2.00pm in Westminster Cathedral at the end of which he will bless Rosaries, and we have our own Mass of Anointing here on Sunday 12th at 5.00pm (see inside for details).

With the threat of snow and the increasingly cold weather please keep an eye on elderly and frail neighbours.

I returned from a short and cold Christmas break in Rotterdam to a slightly warmer England. I had a relaxing time and am now ready for my next break!

         With Prayers and Blessings.

         Fr. Keith.
