Altar Servers
Our parish priest, Father Keith Stoakes is the Diocesan Director of the Guild of St Stephen, the organisation that supports Altar servers throughout the country. There is a rich tradition of altar serving in the parish and we currently have around 140 Altar Servers enjoying their ministry in the parish.
On St. Stephen's Day 2011 a total of 94 Servers were present for the Guild's Patronal Feast. Despite snow some 51 servers were able to be present at Solemn Benediction on Sunday 5th February 2012 when our parish branch of the Guild celebrated it's 54th "Birthday".
Training update meetings for those servers who missed the meetings in January take place in the church on Friday 10th February at 5.30pm, Saturday 18th at 2.30pm and Sunday 19th at 4.00pm.
